As Carthage continues to lead the way in community partnerships, Roger Palmers Chair and Professor Joey Tenuta is leading a continued effort towards business development and creation through efforts in Racine and Kenosha.

Joseph TenutaLast year, Prof. Tenuta connected students with Racine County Economic Development Corp (RCEDC) and BizStarts, an organization designed to help individuals in lower-income areas develop and grow businesses. As a part of this partnership, students had the opportunity to serve as business consultants, helping those future business owners best form and operate their visions.

This year, those efforts will expand to Kenosha. In partnership with Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood (KIN), Carthage and BizStarts will be part of the “Pitch Perfect,” a competition designed to provide funding for business ideas that can grow out of Kenosha County.

For additional information, please visit the “Perfect Pitch” website. If you are interested in getting more invovled in “Pitch Perfect” or BizStarts, please contact Prof. Tenuta at jtenuta@carthage.edu.
