Two students achieve top rankings in Microsoft Excel Competition

Yaritzi Flores-Arizmendi ’26 and Patrick Laurich ’26 achieved 2nd and 6th place in Wisconsin during the Fall Qualifier of the MOS U.S. National Championship.

In the course Microsoft Excel for Basic Business Applications, students develop essential Excel skills and prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel Certification Exam. As part of the exam, students’ exam scores are ranked for the Fall Qualifier of the MOS U.S. National Championship.

Yaritzi and Patrick demonstrated outstanding dedication and proficiency in Excel. Winning this competition is a significant achievement and a strong indicator of their potential success in their future careers. Excel is one of the most powerful and widely used tools in the business world, and their expertise will enhance their problem-solving abilities and professional capabilities. Their accomplishment will undoubtedly inspire other students to invest more in technical courses like Excel.
