Valuable insights and advice shared at Math and Data Science Advising Lunch

On Oct. 15, the Mathematics Department and Carthage Math Club sponsored their second lunch event of the year, the annual Math and Data Science Advising Lunch.

Topics discussed included:

• courses and when to take them
• who to talk with for individual advising
• upcoming events and opportunities
• and much more

All math and data science majors were invited to attend this event. Of special note, seniors in the Math Club gave great advice about their time studying mathematics at Carthage and the professional areas they have pursued. A number of first-year students said they found this part of the lunch especially helpful. The math faculty thank the senior math majors for their useful insights and help with this event.
