The Duncan Family CNA Program Scholarship covers the full cost of completing Carthage’s Certified Nurse Aide program. In return, recipients commit to work as a paid CNA at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital for a minimum of 1,000 hours over two years.

Carthage College will host the third annual event, which convenes some of the top innovators in sports management. NHL executive David Proper, who develops and executes the league’s media and international strategies, will give the keynote presentation.

Beginning this fall, Carthage College students can choose a major or minor in one of the faster-growing areas in scientific research. The biotech program offers pathways into genetic engineering, personalized medicine, cell and gene therapy, soil and water remediation, sustainable agriculture, and other rewarding careers.

Professor Erin Weber’s NSF award will support nine research students over the next three summers. Funding is also set aside for Carthage to bring in new high-end lab equipment, hire a full-time research technician, and cover students’ travel expenses to major professional conferences.
