Biography

Margaret Flanagan joined the Center for Student Success team in August 2025 as a student success advisor, after serving as the grant project director for the Carthage Safe Culture Project, in which she led initiatives to foster a safe and inclusive campus environment. She came to Carthage following her role as student life coordinator at Milwaukee Area Technical College, where she developed programs to engage students and support their personal and academic growth.

Margaret holds a Master of Education from Marquette University, with a focus on student development and support in higher education. Her passion for working with college students grew during her undergraduate years through her involvement in residence life and deepened during her graduate assistantship at Marquette University, where she gained hands-on experience in student wellness. These experiences cemented her commitment to a holistic approach — recognizing that student success is shaped by academic, personal, and social well-being.

Margaret is dedicated to building meaningful connections with students, helping them navigate challenges, celebrate achievements, and reach their fullest potential. She values creating inclusive spaces where every student feels heard, supported, and empowered to succeed.
