
Paris Myers
Paris Myers has been a member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra since 2022. He has performed with a wide range of acclaimed ensembles, including the Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra, Lakes Area Music Festival, Albany Symphony, and the New World Symphony. Equally at home in orchestral, chamber, and festival settings, Prof. Myers has appeared on prominent stages across the world, collaborating with leading conductors and artists in performances spanning the standard repertoire to contemporary works.
A passionate educator, Prof. Myers is a Suzuki-certified bass teacher and serves as the bass instructor for the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Progressions Program, where he works to inspire and develop the next generation of musicians. He also maintains a thriving private bass studio. His teaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, musical expression, and the development of confident, well-rounded performers.
Prof. Myers earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Juilliard School, where he studied under two of the most prominent bass pedagogues of their generation, Eugene Levinson and Tim Cobb. His training at Juilliard provided the foundation for a career marked by versatility, artistic integrity, and a commitment to both performance and education.
Originally from Gilbert Arizona, Prof. Myers balances his busy performing and teaching schedule with an active life offstage. He enjoys coffee, camping, and traveling, bringing the same energy and curiosity to his personal pursuits as he does to his music.
