Biography
Chynna Chung M.M. ’25 is the career specialist for marketing, communication, arts, and culture at Carthage College, where she supports students in turning their creative passions into meaningful career paths. With a background in music education, vocal training, performance, and theatre direction, she brings a unique blend of artistry and advising to her work with students. As a first-generation college graduate and neurodivergent professional, Ms. Chung is passionate about inclusive, student-centered support that empowers individuals to explore, grow, and thrive.
In addition to her work at Carthage, Ms. Chung runs a private voice studio in southeastern Wisconsin and remains active in the local arts community through directing, acting, vocal coaching, and service on arts boards.

Main responsibilities at Carthage
Ms. Chung serves as career specialist for all the marketing, communication, arts, and culture majors and collaborates with faculty and staff to create programming that connects students to opportunities within and beyond Carthage.
Favorite thing about working at Carthage
“I love getting to know each student as a whole person. Watching someone step into their voice, whether in their art, their academics, or their career, is the most rewarding part of what I do.”
Other interests?
Outside of work, Ms. Chung enjoys directing musicals, teaching voice lessons, writing original theatre pieces, and cheering on her students in performances and showcases. She’s also a proud cat mom, coffee enthusiast, and a lover of all things spooky and theatrical.
