Why I chose Carthage
“I came here on a visit my senior year, and I was blown away by the campus. No other school stood out in the way Carthage did.”
My favorite team memory
“My favorite memory was when my teammate got the two point conversion to take the lead against North Park this past year.”
How I balance academics and athletics
“It is tough sometimes, but being a student comes first. Luckily, many of the professors understand that there can be conflicts with sports and will help me work around it. Also, Carthage has a lot of support to help me if I’m ever struggling.”
The support that helps me succeed
“The coaches work their tails off. We have study tables and grade checks, and they’ve made sure to communicate with us beforehand to let us know of any conflicts.”
My biggest accomplishment at Carthage
“My biggest accomplishment is being on the Dean’s List every semester while playing a sport.”
My favorite athletic facility
“Art Keller Field is my favorite because that is where all my best memories have been made.”
My career goal
“I would love to start my own business one day with my brother. Being a student here has taught me many financial skills to help me in the real word, and juggling being a student and an athlete has given me time management skills that will be crucial in starting a business.”
Advice for other student-athletes
“Even if everything seems to be going wrong, Christ is always with you and guiding you. Seek him above all else.”
