    Tanner MacArthur is an artist and curator working between Milwaukee, WI and Brooklyn, NY. His work explores connections between urban disorder, bricolage, and traditional modes of abstraction. Prof. MacArthur has exhibited nationally, and his work has been featured in regional publications, such as The Shepherd Express, Fox Cities Magazine, Moody Magazine, and the Frank Juarez Gallery’s Artist Spotlight series. His curatorial practice spans institutional, commercial, and DIY gallery spaces. From 2022-25, he founded and directed Bullpen Gallery, a site-responsive project space that highlights in-progress thesis work from MFA and MA students at UW-Milwaukee.

    Prof. MacArthur received a B.A. in Studio Art from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI and an M.F.A. in Art from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
