How did Carthage prepare you?

“Having hands-on experiences and being shown real-world application of our vocations was extremely helpful in transitioning to the workplace.”

Why did you choose Carthage?

“I wanted to pursue a degree in graphic design, but I also wanted a well-rounded education that a liberal arts college or university could provide. Carthage checked those boxes and also felt like home.”

What opportunities were made possible because of your Carthage experience?

“At Carthage, I was able to gain experience in my area of study working as a graphics lab technician, graphic design tutor, and production editor for the student newspaper.”

What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?

Professor Laura Huaracha was quite inspiring during my time as her student and student worker. She taught me how to best leverage my creativity and design skills in a way that has made me versatile and adaptable in the workplace.”

What's your favorite Carthage memory?

Homecoming Weekend was always a blast and a perfect illustration of the spirit of the Carthage community.”
