What have you enjoyed most about your career?

“Human behavior and human psychology are deeply engraved in marketing efforts. I love the crossover between the two and the challenges of connecting a brand with a type of audience.”

How did Carthage prepare you?

“Carthage prepared me in every way. I learned a lot about companies, from how they use key performance indicators and search engine optimization marketing, to how they try to perceive and present themselves to clients.”

What opportunities were made possible because of your Carthage experience?

“The internships, the relationships, and the networking opportunities were incredibly valuable to me and many others.”

What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?

“My professors were amazing. I was surrounded by wonderful characters who truly wanted to help me succeed and find my way in the world. They saw me not just as a student, but as a person. Professor Colleen Palmer was a huge influence. Every class she taught prepared me for the real world, more specifically in my career field.”

Tips for current Carthage students?

“Use your resources! Carthage offers programs that help you get internships and attend networking events. They’ll help edit and write your resume, and so much more. I did not take advantage of many of these opportunities until the middle of my junior year, and I wish I had used them from the day I stepped on campus.”
